On Thursday, June 15, 2023, we had another great turn out for our Membership Luncheon at Orlando's Banquet Center. We began our meeting saying the Pledge of Allegiance and welcoming our Guests and City Officials. Next we presented Mike Orlando his engraved first place team trophy from our Nine-Hole Golf Scramble presented by Bayer and Mutual of Omaha. The trophy was provided by Dan Flynn from the Neptune Society. Then we introduced and presented plaques to the following New Members of the Chamber:

After enjoying a tasty lunch and some networking we introduced Marc Schreiber, president of the St. Louis Sports Commission. Marc shared some exciting things happening in St. Louis Sports and encouraged people to get tickets for the upcoming Mizzou Game at the Dome on September 23rd (click here) and the Musial Awards on Nov. 18th at Stifel Theatre (click here).

Marc then introduced our speaker, Courtney Mueller, director of Public Engagement for St. Louis City SC. Everyone was engaged as Courtney shared the exciting accomplishments that St. Louis CITY SC has made as a new MLS Team, as well as, enlightened by the mission and love they have to support our city.

St. Louis CITY SC's ownership group is 100% local with deep roots in St. Louis business, philanthropy and soccer, specifically the Taylor (Enterprise Holdings) and Kavanaugh (World Wide Technology) families. St. Louis CITY SC led by Carolyn Kindle is the first majority female-owned club in MLS history and one of the few in professional sports globally. The same passion, focus and commitment to excellence to landing an MLS club in our city now drives the ownership to make St. Louis CITY SC one of the leagues premier organizations on and off the field.

At the close of Courtney's presentation, we drew names for two St. Louis CITY SC scarfs and our 50/50 winner.
