December Holiday Luncheon
Celebrating the Holidays with the Creve Coeur-Olivette Chamber

On Thursday, December 15, 2022, we had our annual Holiday Membership Luncheon at Orlando's Event and Conference Center. Everyone came festively dressed in holiday sweaters, hats, dresses, and more! We also displayed everyone's name on the screen who attended the luncheon. You can see the slides HERE.
We began our meeting saying the Pledge of Allegiance and welcoming our City Officials and Guests. Allen Burnett, 2022 Chamber Board President, took a moment to thank those who helped support the Chamber this past year. He thanked and recognized our 2022 Board of Directors, Chamber Ambassadors, Chamber Volunteers, and Kevin with McCarty Photography. Next, we introduced one new member, Dr. Joe Cangas, and presented him his plaque.

After enjoying lunch, playing our emoji song game, and networking at our tables, Tom Lancia gave some Chamber Announcements and thanked the membership for making this another successful year of growth.
Next, Allen Burnett with First Mid Bank and Trust and our 2022 Chamber Board President presented Mo Riad with the President's Gavel and introduced him as our 2023 Chamber Board President. As Mo's first duty as President he gave Allen a clock in appreciation for his year of leadership as President of the Board. The clock reads, "In recognition of your outstanding leadership, dedication to serving the members of the Chamber of Commerce & Commitment to promoting a strong and vibrant business community."
In addition to recognizing our new President, we invited Mayor Robert Hoffman to install our 2023 Board of Directors. Mayor Hoffman invited the 2023 Board of Directors to raise their right hand and commit to their role in serving the mission of the Creve Coeur-Olivette Chamber and the duties and responsibilities of serving on the Board of Directors. At the end of 2022 we will have one open seat due to the retirement of Chris Pickel from AT&T. Chris has served the Chamber for many years and will be greatly missed. (see the full list of the Chamber Board of Directors below)
After the installation we all enjoyed our Holiday Gift Exchange. Then we invited two finalist to come forward for our "Most Festively Dressed" contest. Both Lou and Tyffani received cheers for their fun Holiday attire but in the end Tyffani Smith from Together Credit Union won the prize for the Most Festively Dressed. Next we drew Karen Keske with Assistance League of St. Louis as our 50/50 winner.
